WOW – Now This Is a Picture!
This picture flying into San Diego shows the 90-degree turn of the Coronado Bridge which executes its 4.67% grade allowing for 200 feet of clearance over the surface of San Diego Bay: a critical design feature facilitating the passage of aircraft carriers going in and out of Coronado Island’s Naval Air Station. It took 4 years to build but certainly worth it! Thanks for your genius Robert Mosher!
